Augusta & Co acted as financial advisor to a fund managed by Impax Asset Management (“Impax”) on the sale of its 107.7MW wind farm portfolio in Finland, to a fund managed by Allianz Capital Partners. The sale is agreed and signed with closing expected later this year. The sale is in accordance with the Impax fund’s strategy of realising assets once they are operational.
The portfolio consists of three projects in Finland, two in Lapland and the third in the North Ostrobothnia region. Impax grew the portfolio by acquisition from 2013, and subsequently constructed all of the projects, comprising 35 wind turbines with a combination of Vestas and Nordex technologies. The transaction is the largest operating wind portfolio sale in Finland to date.
