Augusta & Co (“Augusta”) is proud to announce the sale by OX2 (“OX2”) of the Åndberg construction-ready onshore wind farm, in Jämtland county, Sweden to Ardian (“Ardian”). The project is targeted to exceed 250MW including upgrades (from an initial 220MW nominal capacity).
OX2 will lead the construction of the wind farm and provide technical and commercial management services once operational in 2021. The wind farm is expected to produce in excess of 800GWh per year.
The 53-turbine wind farm will be one of the largest in Sweden, which is a world leader in the innovation and development of sustainable energy. Sweden has passed legislation to go ‘carbon neutral’ by 2045, with Denmark, Norway and Finland all having made similar commitments.
Simon Clement-Davies, Managing Director, Augusta & Co, commented, “The Nordics continue to set a strong benchmark for the wider European wind energy sector. We have been delighted to act on behalf of the market-leading developer OX2 in this highly successful transaction.”
Paul Stormoen, Managing Director at OX2 said “Augusta provided us with first class advice in a fast-moving transaction, and won the attention of an impressive range of international investors”.
Augusta acted as exclusive financial adviser to OX2 on the sale to Ardian.
