Augusta & Co is delighted to have acted as exclusive financial adviser to Energy Infrastructure Partners (“EIP”) on the sale of a minority stake in the 474MW Nysäter onshore wind farm in northern Sweden.
AG Insurance, Belgium’s largest insurance company, has acquired a significant minority stake in Nysäter, a landmark transaction representing its first direct equity investment in an onshore wind project. EIP will remain the majority shareholder for the duration of the asset’s life, in line with its long-term investment strategy.
Nysäter is one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe and has been fully operational since June 2022. The asset is underpinned by a market-leading pay-as-produced PPA and benefits from a long-term management agreement with RWE, who remain a 20% shareholder.
